That's When Ya Lost Mix

A heavy duty selection of some of my favorite hip hop tracks of all time.  Hats off to Dufficy for playing that blue cassette single that inspired all the madness from 93 'til infinity.

SF Sessions Vol. 2 Re-Interpreted

I couldn't resist the urge to make my own mix of these songs when I found the triple vinyl album a few months ago.

So Much More Heart Than Brains

I put together a mix some favorites from their two albums in honor of a much overlooked duo (i.e., Buck65 & Greetings from Tuskan).  Although their first album on Anticon may be quite difficult to find these days, I highly recommend their newest album "So Much Forever" on Fake Four.

Day In, Day Out - A DJ Day compilation (pt. 2)

Shortly after I made "All Day Long", DJ Day put out his sophomore album on the Piecelock 70 label.  Needless to say, I had to revisit and tweak the original mix to not only tighten it up, but also include tracks from his banging new album.  So without further "adu", please take a listen and give support the man who recently released a Serato record with remixes from the album "Land of 1000 Chances".

Go Ahead Buck!

After a recent concert to see Buck 65 at Mezzanine in San Francisco I was reminded of what a clever cat he was.  It was inspiring to see a Canuck mix jazz, blues, funk, folk, etc. and make it sound hip hop.  His musical craft is quite inspiring and I took it upon myself to mix a hodgepodge of his tunes that struck a chord with me.

Inverse Discourse (A Joe Beats Compilation)

Another beat maker extraordinaire from the east coast.  Included in the mix are 62 minutes of my favorites from his Lex and Bully Records releases, as well as a few CDs and 45s.  Big-ups to "Jose Betas" for sending me the vinyl recently at the nice price.  I hope y'all dig it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Good Times with Maker

Producer extraordinaire Maker was on my list for a long overdue mix.  I finally got around to putting it together this summer with motivation coming from two new releases (i.e., Maker vs. Now Again 2 and Qwel & Maker "Beautiful Raw").  It's just good ole banging drum-heavy beats with an occassional mc to boot.  Enjoy...

Jon Kennedy Mix

"Jon is unquestionably one of the leading beatsmiths of our era. Ever since Mr Scruff of Ninja Tunes dropped Jon' demo on his radio show in 2000 JK has consistently been bringing beats to make your feet move topped with sweet sweet melodies. Drummer, producer and DJ, Jon's flavour is pure dancefloor candy and has been busy rocking stages worldwide as a DJ and with his live band, the man is always representing the very best in UK based Funk, Soul & Hip Hop beats for your listening pleasure"

I made a little mix of some of my favorite jams of his. Take a listen and go support him if you are so inclined!
