The CTI Years
Given Creed Taylor's label, CTI Records, was a major influence on the early stages of hip hop I thought it would be fitting to make a mix of some of the classics from the early 70s. Even though these records are "medium rare", it doesn't mean they aren't banging. Many tracks were omitted given they didn't piece together right, so consider this just a small flavor of what CTI has to offer.

Mad Dukez + Fresh Kils "Gettin' Gatsby"
A great hip hop album that's has a nice variety of beats with catchy melodies and banging drums. Highly recommended and always wonderful to support local Bay Area artists! Grab the vinyl at the Berkeley Amoeba store...
